Back in the day if you traveled from Memphis to Nashville, Tennessee on US Highway 100 you would have found a couple serving biscuits and fried chicken out their front door. It started as a comforting meal and resting place to travelers who neared the end of their journey to Nashville. Much like today, if the food is good the word gets around and people started to plan stops at the Loveless home. Lon and Annie Loveless then built the motel were people could stay and would always have smoked meats and homemade biscuits for people to eat. They say the biscuit recipe is still the same today. Loveless Cafe is rooted deep in Nashville history making it a must see of the area.
